How the GetTransfer Marketplace Works

How the GetTransfer Marketplace Works

GetTransfer is an online marketplace for arranging private transportation. A passenger describes a trip, independent carriers can respond with offers, and the passenger chooses whether to accept one. This structure gives the passenger information to review before making a booking, but it also makes the roles of the platform and the carrier important.

The three roles in a booking

The passenger creates the request

The request records the practical requirements for the trip: pickup time, route, passenger count, luggage, child seats and any requested in-car services. For an hourly booking, it can also include the expected duration, distance or route details.

Independent carriers make offers

A carrier decides whether to respond and sets the price and other commercial terms of its offer. GetTransfer does not impose a fixed or minimum transfer price. The number of offers that may be sent in response to a request is not limited, although a particular request is not guaranteed to receive a specific number of offers.

GetTransfer facilitates the process

The platform transmits requests and offers, provides the personal account and booking flow, and handles payment transmission under the Service Agreement. The transportation itself is provided by the carrier selected by the passenger.

When the transportation contract is formed

An offer is not accepted automatically. The passenger can review the available information and decide whether an offer fits the trip. When the passenger accepts an offer, the Service Agreement states that the transportation contract is concluded directly between the passenger and that carrier on the terms in the accepted offer.

This is why the offer matters. The route, pickup time, vehicle, price, waiting terms and requested extras should be checked before acceptance. A clear request and a careful review of the response reduce the chance that the passenger and carrier are working from different assumptions.

What passengers can review before payment

The current GetTransfer FAQ says carrier offers can show the price, vehicle information, actual vehicle photos, a vehicle rating and completed rides. Availability of particular details can vary by offer, so passengers should review what is actually displayed rather than assume that an unstated feature is included.

  • Confirm that the vehicle capacity fits every passenger and piece of luggage.
  • Check whether child seats or other extras appear in the offer.
  • Review pickup details and the carrier’s waiting terms.
  • Read any stated tariffs for additional waiting or driving time.
  • Use the carrier information and rating as decision inputs, not as a guarantee of a future trip.

Why the marketplace format is useful

The marketplace keeps the request and the responding offers in one booking flow. The carrier controls its commercial offer, while the passenger controls which offer to accept. That lets a passenger consider more than price alone: vehicle suitability, trip requirements, carrier history shown in the offer and the terms attached to that particular booking can all affect the decision.
