From Tenerife South Airport (TFS) to Playa de las Américas, start with TITSA bus 40 towards Costa Adeje. Choose the stop using your hotel's exact address. For a late arrival, check the separate night service, 711: its airport boarding location towards Costa Adeje is at Departures. AENA airport bus guide.
Choose a stop before choosing a ticket
In the airport-to-Costa-Adeje direction, TITSA's stop list includes Los Cristianos, El Camisón, Zentral Center, Columbus, Los Geranios and Magma before Estación Costa Adeje. “Playa de las Américas” is not a single hotel drop-off. Compare your address with the operator's route and ask the accommodation which stop offers the easiest walk with luggage. TITSA route and stop fare calculator.
El Camisón or Zentral Center may be useful candidates to check for an address in the southern part of the resort; Costa Adeje station is the end of the route. Do not stay aboard to the terminus just because the bus destination board says Costa Adeje. Conversely, a stop that looks close on a map may leave an awkward walk: check the actual hotel entrance, crossings and any steps.
Daytime bus 40 and night bus 711 use different plans
The published daily line 40 timetable lists airport departures from 06:30 to 21:40. Many departures are half an hour apart, but the table has exceptions. TITSA gives about 40 minutes for the complete route to Costa Adeje; this is not a guaranteed airport-to-hotel journey time. Line 40 timetable.
For a night arrival, open line 711's timetable and read the airport passing-time column for the Costa Adeje direction. TITSA explicitly places that direction's TFS stop at the Departures terminal. Passing times are estimates for a bus already travelling from elsewhere; allow for baggage collection and finding the correct stop. Check notices and the display before boarding.
Plan the final walk separately if you reach the resort late. Save the hotel's entrance pin and late check-in instructions, and ask which stop the night service uses for your address. A daytime stop choice should not be carried over to the night service without checking.
The fare depends on where you get off
TITSA describes its single ticket as distance-based and sold on the bus. Use its calculator with line 40, the airport as origin and your chosen stop as destination. At our check, the calculator loaded the stops but did not display their prices, so this guide does not supply an unverified flat fare for the resort. Official ticket types.
A stored-value card also has a purchase cost, so compare the complete cost for the journeys you intend to make. TITSA lists Ten+ cards at airport machines and its sales network. Check payment options before boarding and retain the ticket. Discounted resident passes are not automatically visitor products. TITSA fares and discounts.
When comparing a car, include the hotel entrance and return flight
Compare the bus fare for every passenger plus the final journey with a vehicle quote for the entire party. Give the provider your hotel's full address, flight, passenger count and bag sizes. Request child seats or unusual luggage in advance. GetTransfer is a booking service; check each carrier offer's waiting, meeting and cancellation conditions.
For the return, consult the opposite direction's timetable and ask where to board for the airport. Include the walk to the stop, the next usable departure and your airline's required airport arrival time. The first or last outward bus does not establish your return connection.
