When Will I Receive the Driver's Contact Information? A

Once you confirm a booking and a specific driver is assigned — that's when. Not at request stage, not after the ride. The moment the offer is accepted and the booking locks in, the driver's details appear in the app.

What shows up

Name, phone number, vehicle make, model, plate number. All in the ride card. The in-app chat for that booking also activates at the same point.

Most pre-trip coordination happens in that chat — confirming the exact pickup spot, letting the driver know about a flight delay, sorting out which exit to use at a large airport. It works without exchanging personal numbers and keeps a record of everything said.

Finding it

Open the app. My Rides. Tap the confirmed booking. Driver Details panel. That's it.

If you're looking at a booking still in the offer stage — no driver confirmed yet — the panel will be empty. That's not a bug. It's just that no specific driver exists yet to show details for.

Details not appearing on a confirmed booking: pull down to refresh, close and reopen the card. Still nothing — contact support with the booking ID.

Chat vs call

Chat for almost everything before the trip. It works whether the driver is driving or not, doesn't require timing, and keeps a record.

Call when you're standing at the pickup point and need to locate each other in real time. That's what the phone number is for. Not for general questions, not for repeated attempts if there's no immediate answer — drivers are often mid-journey in the hours before your pickup.

What the driver knows about you

Pickup location and destination, once confirmed. Your actual phone number stays hidden — calls through the app route via the platform on both sides. Everything communicated through the app is logged.

If something's off

Details missing on a confirmed booking: refresh, check it's confirmed not pending, update the app if it's an old version.

Driver not responding before the trip: contact GetTransfer support with the booking ID. Don't leave it until the morning of travel.
