Tirana Airport to Durrës or Golem: Bus, Costs and Hotel Arrival

The direct airport bus is a useful starting point for Durrës: 600 ALL per passenger, without going into Tirana first. For Golem, compare that bus plus the onward ride with one car to your hotel. The deciding detail is your hotel entrance, not the resort name on the booking.
Save your accommodation’s exact map pin before flying. The airport bus arrives at the Adis stop in Durrës linked by Tirana Airport, on Rruga e Dëshmorëve. A beachfront hotel farther along the coast can still need a separate journey from there.

How long is the road journey? A Google Maps check for a noon departure on 31 October showed 35–65 minutes by car from the airport to the Adis stop, via SH2. This is a traffic estimate for that route and time, not a bus timetable or a Golem hotel arrival time. Open the same road route, choose your departure time, and add the hotel leg. Adis can confirm the expected bus arrival; its airport listing gives departures but no journey duration.
Find the Durrës bus at the airport
- Collect your bags and follow the signs to the bus terminal beside P1 parking, shown on the airport’s terminal information.
- Look for Durrës / Adis and confirm the destination with the driver. The separate bus to Tirana takes you in a different direction from this plan.
- Confirm payment before loading your bags. Bring Albanian lek as a fallback; ask before relying on a card or paying in euros.
- Keep the Durrës stop pin ready for the walk or onward pickup. If someone is collecting you, send that pin rather than just “the bus station”.
For a large suitcase, pushchair or sports equipment, ask Adis about space and any extra charge before travel. The airport’s operator listing gives +355 68 609 0720 and +355 52 22 55 39. Use the same call to confirm the bus arrival time and payment method.
Check the wait as well as the drive
The airport lists the following daily departures, in local time:

Missing the 14:00 airport bus means 90 minutes until the next scheduled departure, before the drive and hotel connection. That wait may matter more than a small fare difference, especially with children or after a long flight.
For a flight landing at 22:30, treat the 23:00 bus as an option only if you clear arrivals in time. Have a backup: licensed airport taxis operate 24 hours. Ask for a price to your exact coastal hotel. The Tirana city-centre fare on that page is for a different destination.
What four travellers should budget
The bus calculation is 4 × 600 = 2,400 ALL. Then finish the sum:
- Walking to a nearby hotel: no second transport ticket. Open walking directions from the actual Adis stop and check whether the route works with your luggage.
- Continuing to Golem by car: add the agreed vehicle price from that stop to your hotel, plus any baggage charge confirmed with Adis.
- Taking one car from the airport: compare its full vehicle quote with the complete bus-and-connection total. Check that the vehicle fits all four people and their bags.
To price the missing leg, send your hotel: “We are [number] people with [bags], arriving on the Durrës airport bus at about [time]. Can you arrange pickup from this Adis stop to your entrance, and what is the total price?” Attach the stop pin. There is no hotel-connection price included in the 600 ALL airport-bus fare quoted here.
Plan the return before you unpack
Work backwards from the time your airline requires you at Tirana Airport. Add the hotel-to-stop journey, a wait for the chosen bus and Adis’s current driving estimate. The first listed departure from Durrës is 06:00; if that cannot meet your airport deadline, arrange an earlier road journey.
For a booked car, give the actual pickup entrance, passenger count, bags and child-seat needs. Save the meeting instructions and contact details offline. If your flight is delayed, use that contact and check the booking’s waiting terms so everyone knows the revised pickup plan.
