How To Pay Your Fare - A Quick Guide to Payment Methods

Booking a transfer is straightforward, but payment works a little differently from what most people expect if they're used to hailing a cab or using ride-hailing apps. Here's exactly how it works on our marketplace.

Payment happens at booking, not at drop-off

When you confirm a transfer, payment is taken immediately — not at the end of the ride. You'll see the exact fare before you confirm, enter your payment details, and that's it. The driver receives confirmation and the trip is fully paid in advance. No cash changes hands, no card machine in the car, no awkward moment at the destination.

This also means the price you agreed to is the price you paid. There's no surge adjustment after the fact, no waiting time added on top, no "the meter ran longer than expected."

Accepted payment methods

The platform accepts:

  • Visa and Mastercard (credit and debit)
  • American Express
  • PayPal
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay

All of the above are available at checkout. You choose whichever you prefer when confirming the booking.

What currency will I be charged in?

You're charged in your own currency — the one tied to your account location. The fare is converted and displayed in your currency before you confirm, so you know exactly what you're paying. No post-trip conversion surprises, no foreign transaction ambiguity from the platform side (your bank may apply its own exchange rate if you're paying in a foreign currency, but that's between you and your bank).

Is cash an option?

No. All payments go through the app. There's no cash payment option, and drivers don't handle money directly. This is deliberate — it keeps the transaction clean, traceable, and consistent for both sides.

What happens if I need to cancel?

If you cancel a booking, the refund is handled through our support team rather than automatically. Contact support with your booking reference and they'll process it. Refund timelines depend on your payment method — card refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear, PayPal refunds are usually faster.

Whether you're entitled to a full refund depends on how far in advance you cancel and the cancellation terms on the specific booking. If you purchased the flexible rate at checkout, you're covered for full cancellation up to the start of the ride.

Receipts

A receipt is sent to your registered email address automatically once the trip is completed. You can also find all past receipts in the app under your trip history — useful if you're booking for business and need to submit expenses.

If a payment fails at checkout

Check the basics first: card number entered correctly, expiry date current, billing address matching what your bank has on file. If you're using Apple Pay or Google Pay, make sure the wallet is set up and funded. If it still won't go through, try a different payment method — most people have a backup card or PayPal as an alternative. If none of that works, contact support with your booking details and they'll help you complete it.

A note on security

Payment details are processed securely and never stored in a way that's visible to drivers or other users. The platform handles all transactions — drivers receive confirmation of a paid booking, not your card details.
