IrAero Airlines Launches New Route Connecting Irkutsk and Kalibo
IrAero Airlines has recently inaugurated a new air service linking the Siberian city of Irkutsk with Kalibo, a key gateway to the famous Boracay island in the Philippines. This weekly flight, which debuted on 25th October, underscores a growing aviation connection between Russia and the Philippines, promising not only easier travel but also furthering tourism cooperation between the two countries.
Warm Welcome at Kalibo International Airport
The first group of ninety-five travelers arriving from Irkutsk experienced a jubilant reception featuring a traditional water-cannon salute, cultural performances, and warm hospitality that highlighted the vibrant spirit and heritage of the region. This festive welcome was attended by officials from both nations, including prominent figures from the Philippine tourism sector and local government representatives, reflecting the significance of this new flight route.

Details of the New Flight Services
Originating from Irkutsk, IrAero’s new flight to Kalibo is set to operate once a week every Saturday, with a short technical stopover in Guilin, China. In addition, a second weekly service from Khabarovsk to Kalibo is scheduled to commence shortly after, departing every Tuesday. This latter route will include stops in Blagoveshchensk, Russia, and Ningbo, China, before reaching its Philippine destination.
Both routes utilize the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100), a regional jet that accommodates approximately 100 passengers, striking a balance between comfort and efficiency for these medium-haul flights.
