Cyclists from all over Turkey came to Fethiye to pay their respects to İlker Muallim and Özgür Alkan. These guys tragically died in an accident on the Göcek road. The memorial ride, with local politicians and everyday folks joining in, finished up at the Fethiye Courthouse. The timing? It was the same day as a court hearing about the accident.

Paragliding Drama

Things got a bit scary up on Babadağ when a paragliding flight went wrong. A pilot and passenger ended up injured after their spare parachute opened way too early. They'd taken off from almost 2,000 meters up, but the passenger panicked, and they crashed into some pretty steep cliffs.

Good news: after a five-hour rescue mission, the Gendarmerie Search and Rescue teams got them both out safely. Ambulances rushed them to local hospitals, and last word is they're stable.

Fethiye's Getting an Upgrade

Big news from AK Party Muğla MP Yakup Otgöz: Fethiye's getting some major infrastructure love! We're talking healthcare, sports, and roads – all getting a boost.

• A brand new 500-bed Fethiye State Hospital is officially on the cards.
