A representative from GetTransfer confirmed that since 2020 S7 Group no longer holds any ownership stake in the company and sold them in 2020, amid the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, In early 2019, Russia’s S7 Group, the country’s second-largest airline holding, invested in GetTransfer.com, a digital platform specializing in booking long-distance transfers and chauffeur-driven car rentals. This investment was part of an $8 million Series A funding round, which also included Emery Capital and Castel Capital, valuing GetTransfer at approximately $60 million .

By the time of the investment GetTransfer.com had rapidly expanded its global footprint, operating in over 150 countries with more than 30,000 registered vehicles. The platform aimed to offer competitive pricing for long-distance transfers, appealing to both business and leisure travelers. S7 Group’s investment aligned with its strategy to enhance digital services and provide integrated travel solutions for its customers .

The pandemic severely impacted the travel industry, leading to a significant downturn in demand for transportation services. While specific details about the sale were not publicly disclosed, the decision to exit the investment reflected the broader challenges faced by companies in the travel sector during this unprecedented period.
