Alaska Airlines Expands Flight Network with 13 New Nonstop Routes

In spring 2026, Alaska Airlines is set to significantly expand its route network, unveiling 13 new nonstop flights that will strengthen connections from important hubs such as San Diego, Portland, and Seattle. This growth includes fresh destinations like Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Arcata-Eureka, California, bringing the airline’s total served destinations to 142 by 2026.

New Route Launches from San Diego and Portland

The San Diego hub will become a bustling gateway with five new nonstop routes launching April 22, 2026. The connections will link San Diego with Dallas-Fort Worth, Oakland, Raleigh-Durham, Santa Barbara, and Tulsa.

  • Flight frequency: Two daily flights to Dallas-Fort Worth and Santa Barbara; four daily flights to Oakland; and daily flights to Raleigh-Durham and Tulsa.
  • Aircraft: Boeing 737 and Embraer 175 will operate these routes.

Portland's expansion starting May 13, 2026, introduces four new nonstop routes to Baltimore, Idaho Falls, Philadelphia, and St. Louis. The airline will also boost flight frequencies to Newark and make Portland to Līhuʻe on Kauaʻi a year-round service.

Seattle Adds New Destinations: Tulsa and Arcata-Eureka

Beginning March 18, 2026, Seattle will connect to Tulsa with daily flights operated by Embraer 175 aircraft. Starting April 8, daily flights to Arcata-Eureka, California, will also be launched. These new destinations will enrich travel options from the Pacific Northwest.

Enhanced Hawaiian and Intra-California Services

Alaska Airlines is also stepping up its Honolulu service with a new summer seasonal route to Hollywood Burbank Airport starting May 13, 2026 — reconnecting these airports for the first time in more than 20 years. Additionally, increased flight frequencies will be available from Los Angeles to Kahului (Maui), and from San Francisco to Kona and Līhuʻe.

Within California, new daily service will operate between Santa Rosa-Sonoma and Ontario beginning March 18, 2026, alongside seasonal flights to Palm Springs commencing October 26, 2026, both using Embraer 175 aircraft.
