Akasa Air Boosts Winter 2025 Network with Delhi as Third Base and New Domestic and International Routes

Akasa Air’s Network Expansion and New Operational Base

Starting 27 October 2025, Akasa Air is positioning Delhi as its third operational base alongside Bengaluru and Mumbai, significantly expanding its presence in northern India. This strategic move reflects the airline’s ambition to cater to a larger passenger base, increasing total departures from Delhi by around 56%. Passengers will benefit from enhanced connectivity across numerous metro and non-metro destinations as well as increased flight frequencies on popular routes.

Increasing Flight Frequencies and Destinations

The airline’s winter schedule will feature a 12% year-over-year rise in total departures, accompanied by a 22% increase in available seat kilometers (ASKm). Delhi will see over 165 weekly departures connecting it to 12 destinations — including three new ones: Kolkata, Bagdogra, and Srinagar.

Current routes from Delhi to Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru will experience boosted frequencies of up to 5 daily flights, ensuring greater choice and flexibility for travelers. Moreover, Delhi’s network will link four of India's five metro cities — Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Hyderabad — along with eight other cities, balancing urban and emerging regional connectivity.

Domestic Network Enhancements: New Destinations and Increased Connectivity

In addition to Delhi's developments, Akasa Air is expanding routes to southern and eastern India by incorporating new domestic destinations like Kozhikode and Darbhanga. The airline has also stepped up operations in Kolkata with weekly departures growing from 52 to 62. This includes two daily nonstop flights to Delhi and onward connections to Goa and Srinagar, enhancing travel versatility.
