Railway link and promotion push Mizoram to 12.68 lakh tourists in two years
The 51.38-km Bairabi-Sairang railway line, inaugurated on September 13, directly linked Aizawl to India’s national rail grid and coincided with tourist arrivals rising from 427,302 in 2024 to 841,322 in 2025, helping deliver a combined footfall of 12.68 lakh over two years.
